The Loxley Elementary School and Loxley Public Library are sponsoring A Summer Reading Program. It began Tuesday, June 3 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Loxley Public Library.
Children must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. Children may not be dropped off at the library. Volunteer teachers from the school will be there to read a story and provide an art activity each Tuesday.
During the summer, students will be able to take accelerated reading tests at the Loxley Public Library. Lynn Swinson, school librarian, will have a reading goal set for each student.
The Bookmobile will visit Loxley Civic Center on Wednesdays from 1:50Â to 2:30 p.m. beginning June 4.
The Summer Reading Program will host programs every Tuesday through July 8.
