The Loxley Police Department is requesting proposals for two Chevrolet full size trucks.  Proposals must be submitted sealed by August 16, 2019 to Post Office Box 9 Loxley AL 36551 (Loxley Police Bid).  Bids will be opened August 19, 2019 at 12:00 P.M.  Bid Specifications are as follows:

Model:                 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD Crew Cab 147″ RST or LTZ Z71 Package

Seat Package:     A50 Leather (Bucket seats with Console) Front

Engine:                8 Cylinder

Exterior Color:   Black, Grey or Silver

Sewer Spill

“The Town of Loxley reports a sanitary sewer overflow has occurred at 13151 N. Hickory ST. in Loxley. The overflow was repaired on Monday, July 29. The estimated volume spilled is 100 gallons.

 The overflow resulted from a broke sewer fitting inside a meter box. There was no effects to local waterways and the Town of Loxley is taking all necessary steps to limit public health hazards or potentially harmful effects on the environment.

 The Alabama Department of Environmental Management and Baldwin County Health Department has been notified.

Vacant Council Seat

PUBLIC NOTICE

 The Town Council of the Town of Loxley is accepting letters of interest to fill a vacant council seat.

The person chosen by council to fill the seat will hold the office for the unexpired term. To qualify, applicants must be a qualified elector and have lived within Loxley town limits for at least ninety (90) days.

To apply, residents can submit their letters of interest to the town clerk via email at melissal@townofloxley.org, in person at the Town Hall -1089 South Hickory Street, or via fax at 251-964-5371.  Letters will accepted until July 8, 2019.
